We had made several calls to different storages in the area but nobody was picking up so I left messages.
Zach called us back and he explained th unit sizes available and how we could get everything done over the phone and papers signed over the computer.
It didn't take very long and we had a unit, pass code copies of all papers needed.
Zach was so very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
We were very comfortable doing the agreement over the phone and computer.
The unit was perfect for what we needed and the price was great also.
The roads leading to and all on the inside were plowed so you have no problem getting to your unit.
We are looking to move some of our stuff out of another storage area after away and will be storing it at the Ohio Self Storage Ltd. in Sandusky Ohio on Hayes Ave..

If you need storage just call them first. Our unit is clean and dry. Rent was in line or better compared to other places, without additional fees or teaser rent rates. Honestly I was pretty much sold after hearing the voicemail message and after talking to the owner I was very pleased to have found this place. This has been a genuinely good experience which is so rare.

I needed a storage unit quickly and the process with ohio self storage was quick and easy. Very happy with my rental experience! The owner Zach was very quick to respond to my questions. I contacted him on a Friday evening and we did some back and forth questions then he sent me the application. The whole process was done from my phone and completed within an hour or so including questions. The locker was clean and property is well taken care of. Highly recommend if looking for storage in the area!

Zach was responsive, always available and very accommodating during our move in (2 units). Where as other storage facilities did not allow POD’s on their properties, even temporarily for offloading, Zach at Ohio Self Storage assisted by finding the closest units to where our Pods were positioned allowing for easier transfer. Facilities are easy access, clean.

The quality of customer service does not go unnoticed here. Beth made the unit arrangements over the phone so seamless, allowing me to have same day access as she knew I needed to move right away and wanted to make sure I could get in. I appreciated that Zach checked in and addressed my questions kindly and responded quickly. Both are very personable and easy to connect with.
The Sandusky location is convenient as well. It’s right off of the highway and has easy gate access. Definitely will be recommending to family and friends!

Conveniently located near a main road making it easy to use, security is impressive with cameras, fencing, and gates. Many units make it feel more secure because people are usually around. Highly recommended

I can’t say enough about Ohio Self Storage. I called on a Sunday and had access the same day. Easy to sign contract and Zach was so helpful. They even sent a video on how to get doors unlocked. Super friendly and helpful. My unit was clean and spacious and easy to access.

I’ve used them many times over the past 15 years and they have never failed. I’ve made the phone call and been in my unit within two hours with a code and a clean unit. They always seem to have available what I need for the time.Period that I need and their customer service is awesome. They respond within 10 to 15 minutes. Never been stranded without a lost Code. I will continue to use them.

Called 5 other storage facilities with only 1 response. Should have only made one call to this place. Family owned and local. Awesome place and staff, quick to respond with friendly customer service within minutes. Seconds from major highways for ease of access, clean organized units. Very understanding plus thoughtful of unique situations and willing to work with you. Will recommend to friends and family. Prices are way better than competitors, won’t randomly raise rates out of the blue without due notice if need be.

I used this place to store my son's possessions over summer break at college. The experience was flawless, from picking out an appropriate unit up to closing down the lease at the end of summer. The unit was in good shape, directions to the place were precise and helpful, and Zach was easily reachable by text for assistance. Could not ask for anything else, and I'll be using this business again next summer.

It has been a pleasure doing business with Zack at Baumhardt Road Self Storage. I highly recommend this storage facility. I’ve always felt safe, and he even noticed things like when the lock wasn’t totally closed on our unit after we had been there for an item. Having the police training and Target practice right next-door is certainly a bonus. It felt like there was extra security around. Easy access and inside the gated is always clean. The major highways like the turnpike and route 2 are very close. Zack has been a great communicator, thorough and prompt with his emails and notifications.

This storage is the best. Easy access right off the highway. Very secure and easy to access. The units are good size and were clean. Cameras covering every area so security is good. I highly recommend these storage units for anyone in need.

I needed a storage unit for a few months. I called around to a few places and eventually found Zach at Baumhart Road and he quoted me a great price for the summer. I was able to communicate with him directly through text and I was able to sign the agreement online. The unit was easy to access and clean. Zach checked in after we dropped off our stuff to make sure everything went smoothly (which it did). Overall, a great experience.

Back in the area again and needed a storage unit to rent until I find my new home. Have had the pleasure of working with Zach. I had a slight problem with the latch screw coming loose. Zach assured me he'd get to it as soon as possible since he is not onsite. He also assured me that my contents would be fine because of the way they're designed. I being exhausted from a long cross country move asked him why this wasn't checked prior. Zach could of blamed someone else, he didn't. He could have lied, he didn't. He in turn took the blame for it. I don't think I could have appreciated him more at that point. So refreshing for someone to be honest. When he was able to come out to fix it, he notified me. Two person minor job for sure. I assisted with my simple task. Since then Zach has checked back in to make sure all was working well. The unit was clean and not as costly as some I checked into. If a semi is bringing in your belongings, my suggestion would be to find another storage facility. I was warned about tight entrance when I rented it so once again , the honesty was there.

I recommend this unit to anyone who may need somewhere safe to keep their stuff, either short term, or long term. My stuff was stored for over 2 years. When I emptied everything out the other day, nothing was broken, missing, or infested with bugs/critters. Management is super kind, and super easy to work and communicate with. If I ever have storage needs again, I will definitely be returning and suggest that anyone who has storage needs gives these guys a shot. 10/10 business.

Very pleased with our experience at Oberlin Self Storage! When we were researching summer storage options for our daughter who is a student at Oberlin College, owner Zach’s customer service far exceeded our expectations. He was very quick to respond to our initial inquiry and follow up questions and he even welcomed us onto the property to view the inside of the storage unit before we committed. Both Zach and his manager, Beth, were friendly, patient, and efficient when it came time to sign the contract for our summer rental, and Zach followed up during college move out weekend to make sure everything was going smoothly as we transferred our daughter’s belongings into storage. I’m happy to support this locally owned business and I recommend Oberlin Self Storage without hesitation. I would definitely rent a storage unit again here next year!

This place isn’t one of those places where once you get the storage unit you can’t get ahold of anyone! I needed another unit and fast. I text Zach and told him I needed it now and he text me the link and I was done literally in minutes. Such amazing service. Also, that weekend we had two ice storms and when I got to the units, there was no ice in the parking lot anywhere it was great. Everything was plowed. This is a great place.

Which is reasonable and competitive. Close to the college. Storage units are big enough for students to share. We will be booking at Oberlin Self Storage again!
